The Tractor Shed

This past week Marco had been working on cleaning up and organizing our tractor shed. His plan is to use it as a workspace and it needed a lot of work before making that a possibility. Even right now, it's still a work-in-progress. The first step began several months ago, before the snow and the cold, when Marco and I drove to my grandpa's cabin to pick up an unused wood stove. Marco wanted to hook the wood stove to the chimney in the tractor shed. We successfully brought the wood stove home but found it too heavy to bring into the shed. Marco knew he needed more manpower. Last weekend two of our farmer friends stopped by and offered to help haul the stove into the tractor shed. Within a few hours they were able to get it in, hooked up and burning wood!
The next step was to clean up and begin organizing the tractor shed. Although it's called the tractor shed, we are actually storing the tractor in the garage. The shed had been full of hay from our second hay harvest, but we used the last of those bales days ago. Marco took a broom to the loose hay, moved much of the big items that we're holding on to for future projects into the shed's attic and succeeded in clearing up the tractor shed mess.

It was a lovely, sunny day when we were cleaning out the shed. We actually opened up the chicken coop to allow the chickens to wander outside in case they wanted to bask in the warm sun. The goats were already sunning themselves, which has become their afternoon routine.
