During our walks, Marco and I will pause to rest. We often lay in the snow, looking up through the tree branches to the gray skies. We stay quiet and listen to the sounds of the woods - blue jays cawing, squirrels scurrying between branches, chickadees chirping and Boston bounding through the snow
on a wild exploration.
There's a large hill on our farm that overlooks the surrounding area. We hiked up there to survey the land. On our walk up the hill, we spotted several spots where deer have made their beds. We're sure the deer are enjoying the break in cold weather just as much as we are.
