Over the summer Marco and I knew we'd need a larger grazing area for our animals. Since we will be expanding our goat family their need for fresh grass in the summer is vital. We have a large area behind the house that is open grass land. When I was younger is used to be a bog, very wet and mucky. However over the years it dried up and gave way to a nice chunk of grazable land. The first step necessary was to set up the boundaries for the fence. With the help of my mom, we were able to quickly put up fence posts, connect insulators (which hold the electric wire) and string electric wire from the barn corral over to the new grazing area. The whole prossess took probably two weeks.
Since then, the donkeys and goats have spent their days grazing. They have quickly changed the landscape of the grazing area, eating down a lot of the long grass. They've been grazing there for almost two months now.
your mom told us about that... love the picture :)
